Wow! This post took me a long time to write! Making collages takes time people. But Spring is my favorite season of the year, and this is my first Spring fashion post that I have written, so I am super excited! I absolutely love everything about Spring, don’t you? After being bundled up all winter long, it always feel so good to lighten things up and show a little skin again. I spent quite a bit of time perusing the web and trying to figure out what is hot this year for Spring fashion, and I came up with 16 Spring fashion must haves to share with you today. The way this post works is that I made several collages. Each one features one of the fashion must haves. So you have quite a few examples of ways you can wear the item. . Are you ready for some eye candy? I hope so, because I absolutely love the trends for Spring!White skinny jeans
A new pair of white skinny jeans is number one on my list of things I want to buy for Spring.
Florals
Floral tops, floral skirts, floral pants, floral scarfs. As long as it is floral, it is great for spring!
Birkenstocks
A year ago, I would have never thought I would be including these comfy sandals in the mix, but I am in love with Birkenstocks for Spring and I can’t buy a pair fast enough. My daughter (a fashion student) got me onto them in the Fall when she bought a pair, and now I am noticing them everywhere! I want black ones!
Military jacket
This versatile jacket was also on my list of must haves for Fall, I admit it. But sometimes Fall and Spring items are interchangeable, and this is definitely one of those items! If you don’t have one, get one! I bought one at a consignment shop over the winter.
Black and white stripes
I cannot get enough of black and white stripes. in my home and on my body, I will take all of the black and white stripes I can get! I already purchased a super cute striped T shirt dress from Old Navy, the link is below the collage.
Full skirt
The full skirt is so lady like and preppy, and just so pretty for Spring!
Denim Vest
A denim vest is kind of like a denim jacket, it goes with virtually everything. I saw a great idea somewhere when I was doing research for this post. Go to a thrift store and purchase a denim jacket and cut the sleeves off of it! I am going to be on the lookout for a denim jacket at thrift stores now!
White button down
A white button down is one of those staples that will never go out of style, and they are looking so fresh for Spring. I need a new one so I am currently on the lookout for a good one for a good price. I will let you know when I find it!
Bright Colors
Spring is the perfect time of year to add a little color to your wardrobe, and below are some great examples of how you can do so! I am dying over the tassel necklace!
Leopard Shoes
Leopard print shoes have been in for a while now. Have you hopped on the bandwagon yet? If not, Spring is the perfect time to buy a pair! And in case you are wondering what you would wear them with, anything or everything! They are considered a neutral. I stopped by my local Gabriel Brothers today on my way home and found a cute pair of leopard sneakers for $7.99! You know I bought them, right?
Sneakers
And the leopard print sneakers bring me right to my next must have, which is sneakers. I killed two bird with one stone by getting a leopard pair of sneakers. And I have a few other pairs already (grey and white). You wanna know one of my favorite things about sneakers for spring and summer? They hide your toes if you are overdue for that pedi, (or in my case, you haven’t gotten one yet since winter- Gasp)!
Platform Sandals
I am a huge fan of platform sandals, and so glad that they are back, baby! Thank God I kept some of mine from about 10 years ago, because I will be wearing them this Spring and summer for sure! They add height and they are much more comfy than stilettos,(which I very rarely wear).
Gingham
I love it all, shirts, dresses, skirts, and scarves. It doesn’t matter how you wear it, just get some!
Peep Toe Booties
This is another shoe that is great for both spring and fall. I love them and as a matter of fact I just ordered a pair in the same color brown as the top left ones.
Shirt Dress
A shirt dress is another item that I feel is just a classic staple piece. But some of the ones I have pictured below are a little cool and edgy, I am in love with the long maxi shirt dress! I already have a white one and a denim one, and will be wearing them again for Spring.
Loose, Flowy Tops
I am a sucker for a loose fitting, flowy top every day all day long. They are just so forgiving. No muffin top people! And they are also chic. They are basically the best thing ever, and if they go out of style, I will cry.
I added a few different types of shoes to my list for Spring, because I am in need of several pairs of shoes. I didn’t buy much in the way of shoes last Spring or summer, so I am overdue for new ones. Plus, I think even if you can’t afford a lot of clothes, shoes can always make your wardrobe feel up to date. So I plan on spending a lot of my budget just buying shoes.
