This is part two of my Christmas Home tour, my boho chic Christmas entryway.
Hey friends! I hope you were able to catch the Christmas Tour of Homes I participated in last week with 25 other talented bloggers! I shared my red and white Christmas living room as part of that tour. And today I’m back to share my boho chic Christmas entryway. I went in a little of a different direction this year and it’s a little bit hippy chic, which I adore! I hope you enjoy this peek inside our entryway, the place where we greet everyone who enters.
I decided to scale back a bit this Christmas, and I ended up leaving a lot of my decor packed in boxes in the attic. I tend to get a little twitchy when I get too much stuff out at Christmas (and that is saying a lot for this clutter loving girl), so I only got out the things I really loved and wanted to be surrounded with this Christmas. Say hello to my hipster deer that I found here and printed out. This is a stock photo that I purchased because I fell in love with him. He is standing ready to greet all who enter.
This is a tight space, being a split level entry, but I have done the best I can to make it as functional for our family as possible. The shoe cabinet we added a few years ago has been a life saver. I also have lots of hooks at the top and bottom of the stairs, which let’s be honest, usually have a load of coats and jackets hanging on them, but I scaled them way back for the photos.
If you saw my red and white Christmas living room, I used red fringe on my mantle, and I am repeating that in my entryway by using it going down the banister. I found the greenery at an after Christmas clearance sale at Pier One last year, and it is very realistic looking. I just added some lights and the red fringe and draped it all down the railing. And then I added some red tweed bows at the top and the bottom.

I have managed to keep this succulent alive for several months now. It started out outside on my front stoop for the summer, and I brought it indoors, and so far so good. I found the cute little planter container and the red fringe at Hobby Lobby.
I have had this plaid suitcase for a few years now, and it is one of my favorite thrift store finds.
A great little decorating tip is to throw some festive scarfs into vessels around your home. This large crock holds dog items, but one would not know that because I have a pretty plaid scarf hiding the ugly. I did the same thing in the hanging metal basket above this little bench. I usually put an arrangement there, but I didn’t really have anything that I was liking to fill the basket for Christmas so I just threw in a pretty scarf. The ice skates hanging on the front door were another thrift store find, and they eventually made their way outside attached to a wooden sled on the front stoop.

The hanging coat hooks at the top of the stairs were a DIY project and you can read how I made it here. The bag with the horse you see hanging at the top of the stairs is from Sweden, and it is called a Dala. I keep it here and we fill it with plastic bags that are used for various things, mainly picking up puppy poop.
I couldn’t leave the tour without sharing this adorable picture I took of our puppy Tyson Chicken Nugget lying on the Christmas rug we have right at the top of the stairs. Who can resist that face?
That is all I have to share today of my boho chic Christmas entryway, I will be back on Friday to share my dining room decorated for Christmas, so don’t forget to check back in on Friday. I am so glad you stopped by today! Hope you enjoyed your time here on my little corner of the web. You can find links below to the Christmas Tour Of Homes I cohosted last week. There are so many wonderful ideas and inspiration in each tour, I hope you have a chance to see them all!
