Do you have spring fever yet? Because I sure do! I recently started getting all of my winter décor put away and trying to spruce up and make my home look a little more like spring lately. I haven’t really had the time yet to get it completely spring-ified, But it is definitely a work in progress. I started with my kitchen. A few small tweaks in the kitchen, and I was able to dress up the sink and make it look fresh and clean with a cute new tray, some succulents, and a bottle of some fresh smelling foaming hand soap.
It’s been awhile since I showed you my kitchen. And if you are new to my blog, you may not know that the backsplash is one of my favorite DIY projects I have ever done. It is a faux painted subway tile, and I am proud to say that it is holding up splendidly! Softsoap has a brand new line of foaming hand soaps on the market. I spotted them at Wal-Mart recently and they all looked so yummy that I scooped up all three scents! I love the kitchen citrus bliss, it smells so fresh and citrusy, and the bottle is perfect to help dress up our sink for spring.
I don’t know about you, but there is a lot of hand washing that goes on in our kitchen. I think some people have a rule that they don’t wash hands in the kitchen sink, but we are not those people! I bought a pretty new hand towel too, because mine were all starting to look not so fresh.
Next, up was my two boy’s bathroom. I struggle with this bathroom because not only do my two sons use it, but it also serves as our guest bathroom. So if someone is over, this is the bathroom they use. And if you have sons, you know that it is a struggle to keep everything cleaned up after them. This room is on my list for a makeover, but we haven’t gotten to it yet, so for now, I am satisfies with a fresh new hand towel, a pretty dish for my hand soap, and some more of those cute little succulents that I just want to sprinkle all over my house!
I love having pretty dishes to put my hand soap in. It dresses them up a bit, and it also keeps the mess on the counter to a minimum. The whipped cocoa butter scent smells wonderful, and perfect for boys because it isn’t too feminine! I don’t know about you, but when I put our foaming hand soap, my kids are much more likely to wash their hands, will someone please tell me, what’s up with that??
I started making over our master bathroom last spring, and I am sad to say that it still isn’t finished. Sometimes life just gets in the way people. Last spring we got a new counter top and sink. I am happy to report that I am still very satisfied with our choices too. To dress up this sink, I shopped my house and brought in this basket for the counter, and brought some pretty new blue hand towels and washcloths to place in it for a pop of color. I also purchased a new hand towel to hang by the sink, and added a new candle.
In the fall, I made over our bathroom vanity with a fresh coat of paint and some pretty new knobs, and I am loving the color! I also freshened up our grout over the winter and got a new rug for the floor, but I haven’t blogged about either of those yet, so this is a sneak peek!
I loved the Jasmine and White cotton foaming hand soap for our bathroom. The colors are so pretty for spring, and I love the little dish I put it in too! I always have to give my hands a good washing after I apply my makeup in the morning, and I love the rich foamy lather of this soap.
