Fall Around My Home {Part 1}

I just got around to working on my Fall Décor last weekend, and I am excited to share part One of My Fall Home Tour with you today.  What better place to start than at my front door, right?  So this is my front stoop all dressed up for Fall.  I kept it fairly simple, just some mums and some pumpkins.  I will add more pumpkins of the painting and jack-o-lantern variety in the next week or so.  I also made the wreath on the front door myself, and I will have a tutorial for how you can make one too on Monday, so check back.  Welcome to my Fall front stoop!  You can find Part 2, 3, and 4 of my Fall home by clicking the numbers.

I took the majority of the pictures of my front stoop before the large flowers in the urns on either side of my door had bloomed.  But they were finally starting to bloom, so I took a few more shots, which is why you will see a difference in some of the photos.  The two chalkboard planters at the bottom are left over from summer.  They are still blooming, so I kept them out for now.

The green jar is actually a solar light, and it looks cute lit up when it gets dark.  The rusty side table needs brushed down with a wire brush and repainted, but I probably won’t get to it before next Spring.

You might notice that I changed out our doormat.  The old doormat was starting to look really shabby, you might remember that I painted it myself.  It was also shedding and the fibers were being brought into the house constantly.  So I opted for a black rubber mat because it won’t wear out nearly as quick, and it won’t shed.  We’ll see how it goes.

In this pulled back shot, you can see the Cross Country sign proudly displayed in our front landscaping.  I’m not a soccer mom, I’m a cross country mom for sure!

If you look at the picture above and below you can see a definite difference when the flowers are now starting to bloom.  They are going to look beautiful when they are fully blooming!

Aww heck, why should we stop at the front stoop, let me at least give you a peek into our split level entry!
