Hey friends! I hope you are enjoying this last weekend before Christmas! We are headed out soon to see Santa, and do some last minute shopping. We made Christmas cookies last night and attended a fun Merry Dip-mas party. I wanted to pop in and share two things with you today. This outfit is just such a festive casual outfit and I wanted to make sure to share it before Christmas, just in case you are looking for some outfit inspiration for any casual holiday events or parties. And I didn’t really photograph my outdoor decor this year for the blog, but you can see my Christmas front stoop in these pictures, so I’m killing two birds with one stone today!
No soliciting sign
You might notice a little sign to the left of our front door in the picture above, and it is a no soliciting sign that I recently purchased. We have a little problem with solicitation in our neighborhood, so I decided to post this sign out front, and we haven’t had a knock since! Plus, its cute, and the most polite way I could think of to avoid unwanted knocks at our door. But really, when a complete stranger knocks on the door wanting to sell you something, I just think that’s rude, so why am I worried about being polite? You may disagree, but we find it annoying and this is working for us. You will also find a source list at the bottom of the post for my outfit, and for the items you might like on our front stoop.
I have owned these red jeans for a few years, and I love wearing them. And a denim jacket is a wardrobe staple that if you don’t have, you need! I actually picked up this plaid shirt at a thrift store, and I love it!
I love this burlap snowman we found last Christmas season! I wanted to show you what it looks like all lit up at night. And the buffalo plaid ribbon you see is my favorite! I love the way it looks on our front stoop this year.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek at our front stoop this year! The pot of fresh greens you see on the little table is something we bought at Home Depot and it is still holding up beautifully!
The wooden sleds you see belong to my children and were gifts from their grandparents. I hadn’t been able to find them for a few years, and it turns out that when I moved years ago, I gave them to her to store and forgot about them, so I was so happy to get them back to use on our little stoop this year. Thanks for stopping by and staying awhile with me today! Have a very Merry weekend, and I will be back with my dining room decor for Christmas on Monday! Hope to see you then!
