Here are some ways to transition your summer wardrobe to Fall.
Hey friends! I have a fresh new style post for you today. It is the end of September, and I can’t believe it’s been over a month since school started! Although it is still pretty warm here, and this week in particular is very warm, I can feel Fall slowly starting to creep in, with cooler mornings and evenings, Pumpkin spice everything, and the leaves are already starting to change in these parts. So I have been easing into Fall with my wardrobe as well. Today I want to share some ideas that might help you to transition your Summer wardrobe to Fall. The in between seasons can be hard to figure out how to dress or what to wear. So I’m sharing some outfits I have worn recently where I was specifically trying to look a little less summer-ish, and a little more fall-ish without being full on summer or fall.

Recently, I shopped the Gap and Loft online and ordered some things to help me with my wardrobe transition. Both stores were having great end of season sales, and I got things for 40-60% off of already reduced prices. And you can’t beat that! But when I shopped, I was specifically looking for things that would fit for that awkward in between seasons times of year. I am sharing four different outfits with you today, but I have more to share with you that I will save for another post.
I bought this dress for 50% off of the sale price at Gap. It is technically a sundress, but I could see lots of possibilities for this particular dress. Number one being that it hides food babies. And if a dress can do that, then it’s usually a dress I am interested in adding to my wardrobe. Ha! Aside from the fact that I loved the fit, I also loved the drop waist, it gives it a retro vibe to me. I so remember when everything had a drop waist- do you? But mostly, I love that this dress is chambray, and it can be used as a layering piece. You can wear it alone for summer, or you can add a cardigan or even a top under the dress.
As you can see, I chose to layer a simple white button up over it and then tie it at the waist. And these booties are my favorite booties ever. I think these are perfect for the time between seasons because of the straps. But you can also wear them with cute socks in the winter as well. I wish I could give you a link to these, but I have had them for a few years.

These chambray girlfriend chinos are another item I purchased from Gap, and they are still available for only $27.97, plus free shipping. And let me tell you, I love these pants! They are super comfortable, they are dressy enough for me to wear to work and not count as jeans, but they can also look casual, just depending on how you style them. These pants are a classic item that I will wear for years to come, and they are perfect for in between seasons. And good news, you can still grab a pair for only $14.97!

I actually threw on a black cardigan with this outfit when I was at work. I always have a sweater or jacket with me at work because it is very cold in my building. For some reason, the black cardi never made it into the photos though. These black strappy sandals were a purchase from Summer, and I also bought them in nude. Although they are high heels, they are unbelievably comfortable. I don’t even feel like I am wearing heels when I wear them.
I have owned this top for many years, and I love the shimmery material and the big black bow. It is a great layering piece too.

I believe it is possible to still look stylish even when not everything you are wearing is brand new. I have mentioned this many times throughout my style posts. And this outfit is a perfect example of that. The jeans, the jewelry, and the sandals are all new, but the tank top and the cardigan, I have had for years. I love these faux fur sandals that I picked up recently, and I think they are a great way to transition into Fall.
I recently received this marble ring and a matching set of marble earrings from Happiness Boutique, and I am so smitten! Both are adorable and will go with so many different things.

Here is a close up photo that I shared on Instagram of the jewelry. Aren’t they both so cute? I can’t get enough of them! They are from Happiness Boutique, and their jewelry is both adorable and affordable fashion jewelry. They have been kind enough to offer a discount code for my readers. This code is valid through October 20, 2017. And it is good for 10% off of any purchase over $22.

I think transitioning into Fall is a great time to wear lightweight long sleeve shirts especially for the environment I work in. I work in a middle school, and it is always so cold. If I wear a short sleeve or sleeveless top, I almost always need to add a sweater or a cardigan. But if I wear just a long sleeve shirt, I am comfortable with just that. I am so in love with this bell sleeve top with the embroidery detail on the sleeves!

This stacked tassel necklace is probably my favorite necklace that I own. I bought it last Fall, but it is still available, and I would buy it all over again right now if I didn’t already own it!
