So, did you have a good 4th of July? I hope you did! We had a really great day with friends that we don’t get to see very often. Mr. 5 Year Old played games, swam in the lake, and went off some big water slides. We had some really good food, played tennis, got to see some sweet little babies, and watched fireworks. We both agree on our way home, yesterday was everything that a July 4th should be! So, it was a great day! Today, I bring you my favorite pinterest pins for June. I have pinned the original source under the picture if at all possible. Enjoy!

Hi! I just pinned removing linoleum and noticed you are planning on paper bag floors! I just did that in one of my bedrooms, using 8×18 "planks" instead of tearing and crumpling. It looks BEAUTIFUL and almost passes for hardwoods, but I thought I would warn you, I used water based Varathane brand on top of the stain, eight coats of it, waited five whole days before touching it, and then my kids dragged a laundry basket across it and there are scratches galore! I was very disappointed to say the least! Good luck, try a different brand than I did.
Oh no Laurel! that totally sucks! I used the polyurethane that was reccomended by the tutorial I followed. It is not the one you used though. She reports great results and she says hers has held up very well. I completed my laundry closet first, and then we had to move our washer/dryer back, eeek I was nervous. But we successfully moved it with very minor scratching that you can barely see. Nothing else on the floor will need to be moved like that though.
How exciting to find your blog through Make it Pretty Monday! Hey… I'm right next to you so drop on by for a visit! I am now your newest follower and glad to do so. So much fun reading your latest post… loved the painted tire seats and glad to read about picking out the right grey color. May I suggest you look at Olympic's "Quill"? I was just in Charleston and saw this on the walls of a bridal dress shop. Didn't find the right dress but I think I have the perfect grey for my basement! LOL
Love the perfect porch and cozy living room, which i pinned:) Swing by http://www.sewsweetvintage.com/2013/07/vintage-swimwear.html
