Hey all!  I am so excited to share my new gift wrapping station with you today, just in time for the busiest season of the year when it comes to gift wrapping things – Christmas!  Not only is this gift wrapping station super cute, but you guys, it made my life SO MUCH EASIER!  Do you know where most of my gift wrapping supplies were before I turned this empty dresser into a gift wrapping station?  In my attic.  That’s right, I had to pull down the ladder and climb up there every time I needed to wrap a gift.  And at Christmas time I would just get all of my supplies down and leave them sitting somewhere out in the open for the entire Christmas Season.  Thanks to my new gift wrapping station, I am actually looking forward to wrapping every last gift this year.  Everything I need is right there in one spot!  Let’s take a closer look at how I put it together, shall we?

Gift- Wrapping-Station-1

If you are a regular reader, then you may have seen my downstairs family room on the blog before.  This is the room where my kids hang out with friends and watch movies and play games.  That makes this room the perfect spot for a gift wrapping station, because it is kind of out of the way from the rest of the house, so at Christmas time, the wrapper has some privacy away from prying eyes to wrap their gifts.  The dresser you see pictured below is where the gift wrapping supplies are now located.  And let me just say that you are getting a sneak peek today of a project that I will be sharing with you very soon.  I just recently made over this dresser, and I can’t wait to tell you all about how I did it!  But for now, let’s talk gift wrap!

Gift- Wrapping-Station-2
The dresser I am using for my gift wrapping station is not quite long enough to hold wrapping paper.  But that’s perfectly fine with me, because this 3 gallon crock that sits right next to the doorway is the perfect spot to hold all of my lovely wrapping papers!  I just recently changed it out to hold my Christmas papers.

Gift- Wrapping-Station-3
I purchased the organizing supplies for my gift wrapping station at a local Deals store.  Are these boxes not the absolute cutest?  They are totally on trend with the plaid, and at only $3 a piece, I couldn’t resist!  Yes, they are Christmas themed, but I’m not going to lie, I plan on keeping these supplies in this dresser all year around.  No one will ever see them but the family, and maybe it will help us to keep a little tiny piece of Christmas spirit around all year long!

I also picked up these snowman tins and the blue baskets at the same store.  They are great to hold small items like gift tags, bows, ribbon, scissors, tape, etc.
Gift- Wrapping-Station-7
Let me show you how the drawers are organized after I put it all together.  The top drawer holds cards, markers and pens, and bows.  I will probably also keep some curly ribbon in this drawer, but haven’t bought any yet.  The plaid snowman box actually holds special cards that I save that people have given to us.  When it gets full, I have a larger box in the attic that I can transfer the cards that I save into.  The top box is a box of cards for all different occasions.  They are perfect to have around in case I need a last minute card or I forget to pick one up.
Gift- Wrapping-Station-8
The second drawer down hold tissue paper, gift tags, other pretty accessories that can be used on wrapped gifts, scissors, a hole punch.  I decided my new gift wrapping station was the perfect location to keep our supply of batteries.  I tis a very nice gesture, if you are giving a gift that needs batteries, to include some in the gift.  Plus, with a child at home, we go through so many batteries just trying to set everything up for Christmas day!  We can’t wait to use the Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries we purchased!  They are the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries, and that makes me feel good about buying them for sure.  They are also Energizer’s® longest lasting battery and most responsible battery.  I may not be perfect at it, but I do try to do as many things as I can here and there to help save the environment, so now I can add these to the list of things I can feel good about.
Gift- Wrapping-Station-9
This year, I opted to print out my own gift tags on card stock because I found some adorable free printables to use- and you can find them here!  All you need to do is print them out and punch holes in them and tie them onto the gift with some pretty string.
Gift- Wrapping-Station-10
The third drawer down contains ribbon and smaller gift bags.  I don’t know about you, but if someone gives me a gift bag that is pretty, I always save it.  I cannot bear to throw things like this into the garbage.  And every once in a while I will go through and purge them, and the ones I don’t want to keep I will take to Goodwill.

The bottom drawer holds my larger gift bags.  These were too large to fit into one of my cute snowman boxes, so I ended up with an extra box to use for something else.  I also  have two blue baskets to hold a supply of tape in this drawer.
Gift- Wrapping-Station-13
This dresser sat empty for over a year just waiting for me to create this gift wrapping station, and I am so glad that I finally took the time to tackle this job.  I am also glad that we have switched to these Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries.
Energizer-batteries-1
Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries can be found at many stores that sell batteries.  I purchased mine at Walmart.  They had a huge battery display in the Christmas Shop and that is where I found mine.

I really enjoyed putting together my gift wrap station, and I did this before Thanksgiving and before getting the rest of my Christmas décor out.  It really got me in the Christmas spirit!  Do you have a gift wrapping station?  What is your system for wrapping gifts?  I would love to hear about it in the comments!  If you are like I was and have no designated space in your home for a gift wrapping station, I hope I inspired you to come up with one today!  It doesn’t take much space or anything elaborate.  Just a place where everything can be in one spot, and you will find that it makes wrapping gifts so much more enjoyable.  We have already begun putting ours to work!  Now that I’ve shared how I’m preparing for the holiday season, tell me how Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries would help power your holiday!
