I just decorated for Spring last weekend. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to, It was just that I had a couple of projects going on in our bathrooms. So I didn’t have time to do it. But I am happy to say, I finally got around to it, two weeks before Easter. I didn’t do much. There are other things I still want to do, but I am not going to put pressure on myself. I have a lot going on right now with Miss 18 Year Old’s graduation, so if these things don’t get done this year, we will all live.
This is my dining room buffet. It is one of my favorite spots to decorate. I used this blueberry wreath last spring as well. Actually I think I kept it up till fall.
I have had this quirky looking green vase for years. I decided to get it out of the attic this spring. The little glass orange round container is a find I bought recently at The Mission. I just think it is so cute! The wooden pedestal bowl was also a Mission find from that same day. The pedestal was broke off from the bowl, so I glued it back on with wood glue. I love this bowl. It was really dried out, so I conditioned it with coconut oil and it looks just like new. I think I paid a couple of dollars for it, but wooden bowls brand new can be expensive!
This is our sofa table. It is right at the top of our stairs as you turn to enter the living room. I showed you my wrapped books last week, but you didn’t see the rest of the table. The artwork over the table is due to be changed. I am thinking of painting the frame and making it a chalkboard.
The art in the silver frame is a free printable that I had pinned. You can find it at Yellow Bliss Road. I painted that mason jar last spring. I recently moved this lamp from bathroom to here. I always felt that this spot of the room was a little dark, and I like it so much better having this lamp on at night here.
I just laid this greenery in this basket. I have no idea what those green things are called, do you? I made over this carousel horse that I found at Goodwill last spring. You should see the before pictures! I have been tying different bows around his neck, and I love it!
This bookshelf is the first thing you see at the top of my stairs. I had it made years ago in Amish country, so it is a very nice piece of furniture, but I am itching to paint it. Is that horrible?
The white vase on top is a Goodwill find, and I just threw in the yellow flowers. I put some Easter eggs in my lantern. I backed this bookshelf with wrapping paper a while ago.
The blue hydrangea is a free printable that I just taped to a small canvas. I also framed this free printable of this spring bike.
And this Easter egg bunny was also a free printable. I forgot to pin this one, and I can’t remember where I found it, but there were 16 different on the sheet so cute!
This is my living room. I showed you this Van Gogh print a few weeks ago.
I hate our TV stand, so I put this white runner that I bought at a thrift store on it to lighten it up. I am on the hunt for an old dresser or something to put here to replace this TV stand.
I bought these little disco ball Easter Eggs at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. They have them in different colors. I didn’t realize when I took these pictures that Mr. 6 Year Old added a couple of small Easter eggs to the mix.
This green afghan was a Goodwill find. I love it and can’t believe I found it there for $1!
I have this this little Easter tree for a few years. I wrapped the base with a dish towel and tied twine around it.
These green mercury glass candle holders have been on my buffet for a while, so I decided to move them.
I don’t think I have shown you my new Kilim pillow yet. I bought this on EBay, and it adds another touch of pink in this room.
I added some shells we collected last summer in Destin to this little bowl.
That about sums up my spring décor so far. I still have a few things I would like to do. We’ll see if I get around to it. We are painting Easter eggs this afternoon after I write this post. I hope you enjoyed seeing my spring touches around here! Have a great week!Link Parties:
