Our Family Vacation- Destin, Florida

We took a family vacation at the end of July with LC’s entire family.  In one big house, all 15 of us!  It was a trip that we had been planning and anticipating for almost a year.  We waited. And talked about it.  And waited and talked about it some more.  And then the day finally came for us to make our way to Destin, FL for one week and then on to Disney and Universal Studios for a couple of days.

After all of the anticipation, when it finally came, it seemed like it was over in the blink of an eye.  It went way too fast.  Why we can’t we slow down the clock when we are living our best moments?  If only we could, this is two weeks of our lives that I would have slowed down for sure.

This trip to Destin was a 50th anniversary gift to LC’s parents.  What better way to celebrate than to spend you days and nights surrounded by everything you hold dear?  I hope they enjoyed it to the fullest.

We all went down to the beach at sunset one night to take some family pictures.  Have you ever tried to corral that many smiling faces at one time?  It is not easy.  And BTW, every time I need my camera for an important event I can’t get it to focus.  It seems like it gets over heated or something from all of the picture taking and it just gives up.  Very disappointing!  These are some of my favorite photos from our vacation.  Thank goodness for memories!  And to LC’s family, we miss you all already!
