We relocated to Austin, Texas in July of 2019. We purchased a home that was built in 2003 that is in the cutest little neighborhood. All of the homes are built in a similar style (but not exactly alike), and they are all painted in different colors. It sort of reminds us of a coastal neighborhood. We have named our new home the Yellow Prairie House because it is yellow, and the word Prairie is in the name of our street.
The house was move in ready but needs some updates. It was just the right amount of livable and fixer upper for me! We plan to slowly update this house, and furnish it ( we sold over half of our furniture before we moved) over the next several years, and I will be sharing all of it here on the blog! We are taking our time with this one, because we both started new jobs and our child began a new school. Starting new jobs and schools and relocating brings a lot of stress and uncertainty.
