Patio/Deck Cooler Stand Reveal

August 27, 2016 By Nicki Leave a Comment

Patio/Deck Cooler Stand

Hey friends!  We have a new addition to our lower back deck that I am so excited to share with you today.  This patio/deck cooler stand is great to have around for summer parties and get togethers.  I can’t give you any direction on how to make this, because my father-in-law actually built this for us, and I love it!  He is retired now, and he has been building these patio/deck cooler stands and selling them locally, and of course you know we had to have him build one for us too!  I wanted to share it on the blog, and if you love it, and you live locally, you can order one for yourself!  I’ll tell you more about that at the bottom of this post. When my father-in-law built this cooler for us, he offered to treat it with a water sealer if we would like, but I asked him to leave it unfinished for me, because  I wanted to be able to add my own personal touch to it.  I am probably going to paint it, just because I already have a lot of wood going on with my deck and my spool table, so I think I would like to give it some color.  But I haven’t settled on a color yet, so for now it is in it’s natural state, and I still think it is really cool!  The front of it is pretty much a blank slate, and he will add any type of emblem to the front upon request.  He made one that had a WV on the front and I thought it was really nice.  But again, I wanted to add my own personal touch to mine, so I asked him to leave it blank.

I love the fact that there is a shelf on the bottom to store extra drinks, or whatever it may be.  My basket that you see underneath is actually filled with juice pouches for the kiddos.

I also love that he thought to add a towel rack on each side.  It is nice to have a place to hang a hand towel if anyone needs to wipe their hands after reaching into the icy cooler.  I really think that he does an excellent job at building these, it is very well made and sturdy. And I love it that in his retirement, he has found something he enjoys doing.  Way to keep busy, Jim!

The lid to the cooler is built right into the wooden top, and when you close it, it is perfectly sealed. We had a get together a couple of weeks ago, and the next morning when we went down to clean out the cooler the next morning, it still had ice in it.

I love the details he added, like this rain that looks like a water spicket, how cute is that?  And the bottle opener comes in really handy if the cooler if full of beer or some other bottled drinks.

It has been a long time coming, but I feel like we finally have our bottom deck the way we want it. You can see our DIY wood pallet outdoor bar in this picture below, right next to the cooler stand.  I can’t tell you how handy it has come in this summer when we are grilling out or have friends over.  At our party last weekend, I used it to sit a large drink dispenser and cups on.  The only things left for me to do are to give this cooler stand my own personal touch with some paint, and I also plan on staining and sealing our rustic wooden spool table before winter sets in.

Here’s How You can Own One of these Cooler Stands:

If you live locally, and are interested in having my father-in-law build one of these for you, please contact me through email or one of my social media pages, and I will send you the information to contact him.  He is willing to add any type of emblem or decor you want to the front, and he can also add casters to the bottom if you like.  He will also treat it with water sealer if you like.  The price for the cooler stand without casters is $120, and with casters is $130.  He sure would love to have some new orders!  Now, that wine is looking awfully tasty on this Friday evening!  Time to pop a cork!

Thanks for stopping by my little section of the interweb on this fine Friday!  I am so ready for the weekend, how about you?  Whatever your plans, I hope the weekend is a good one for you and I hope to hear from some of you locals who might want a super cool cooler stand all for yourself!
