Hey friends! Today is a happy day because it’s Saturday, am I right? I wanted to pop in today to share my rustic glam Valentines Day mantle with you! Did you catch the DIY glitter heart I made and shared earlier this week? I am so smitten over it! And it plays very nicely with my mantle, which is a good thing because both of them are in my living room. This gold glittery love banner I found at the Target dollar spot is the star of the show on this Valentines Day mantle. Let’s not mistake that!
I wish I could share a link with you for this particular banner, because I love it so much. But usually when I find something at the Dollar spot at Target, I don’t find it online. If you don’t frequent the dollar spot at Target, trust me you should! I always find something here that is really cute, and so affordable! I love the gold glittery letters that say LOVE- so perfect for a Valentines Day mantle.
If you are new to Sweet Parrish Place, welcome! I’m so happy to have you! In case this is your first time seeing my mantle, it is from an old barn beam, and my husband had it made for me for Christmas a couple of years ago, and thus began the transformation of this fireplace, which was nothing but a black box in the wall when we moved here. This fireplace completely changed the look and feel of our living room, and I love to decorate it for all seasons of the year. This spot is the place where I start to decorate every time I decide to switch things up. The Airstone you see surrounding the fireplace is another DIY project. I decided to keep out a couple of small green trees that were part of our Christmas decor, and so I used them on the mantle for winter. And by the way, this is also my winter mantle, I only added the banner and the heart hurricane for this rustic glam Valentines Day mantle.
The green milk can was in my home when I was growing up, and not long ago, I asked my mother if they still had it. And luckily they did, so my dad dug it out of the attic for me. My mom painted it and added that giant eagle many moons ago, and so far I haven’t had the heart to change it, but I think eventually I will paint it and give it an updated look. I am very happy to have it though. My little stack of vintage suitcases are my favorite!
When I took down all of our Christmas decor, I was longing for simplicity and a more neutral look. And I think I achieved that with my rustic glam Valentines Day mantle. The glass hurricanes on either side were there at Christmas too. I just changed the pillar candles to white. The black and white stripes on them are ribbons that I wrapped around them myself.
Curled wood wreath | Metallic deer options | Picture frame | gold mirror
I picked up the glass cylinder vase on a recent trip to Walmart- can you see the gold heart on it? I just checked online, and it is sold only in stores.
Can I just say that I am in love with this blush pink velvet pillow cover? I actually have two of them, and they go on our sofa, but let’s face it, the only time the pillows are neatly arranged on our sofa is when I just cleaned, or we are having company. the rest of the time they are elsewhere because the puppy won’t leave them alone. I have a large box that some of my husbands work materials were delivered in, and it usually sits right in front of this fireplace. It is filled with all things I don’t want the dog to ruin. I long for the days that he grows out of chewing everything in sight!
If you like it, then you wanna put a pin on it!
What do you do to acknowledge Valentines Day? Are you a sucker for hearts and glitter and pink and red like I am, or do you ban the holiday altogether? I would love to read your thoughts and opinions about my rustic glam Valentines Day mantle in the comments below! I love your comments and read every one! Thanks for spending a bit of your time here with me today. Have a great weekend!

OK…that barn beam…to die for! What a find! And it really works with your Valentine’s Day theme. Truthfully, I don’t do much decorating for Valentine’s day. For no other reason than I just don’t get to it. But you may have given me the encouragement I need to get my rear in action and do something. I have stuff up in the attic…whole lotta good it’s doing up there! Am I right?
Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs, Lynn
Thanks Lynn! It is one of my favorite gifts ever, and I don’t want to part with it when we move on. Glad I inspired you today! Have a great weekend!
Nicki, I LOVE your mantel! So so old and rustic looking, right up my alley. I don’t do any decorating for Valentines Day. I’ll make something good to eat or a fabulous dessert, because we don’t even go out to a restaurant that day because of the crowds. Did it once and never again. I’m glad you’ve got the spirit for it!

Thank you Carol. It is my favorite thing in our home! Glad you can appreciate it with me. I hope I get to read about your fabulous dessert!
I love how you have styled your mantel. The Valentine’s banner looks perfect on it. I also love the blush pillow. I saw two chairs at Marshalls made with the same fabric that I would love to have in my bedroom.

OH my, I bet those chairs were so pretty!
I love the whole look – simple and chic! We wanted a beam mantel similar to that but our builder wanted $5K to do it so we went with the basic option and added faux rustic wood vinyl to make it look like a beam. You can find a recap of that project on my blog. 🙂 I’ve been on a hunt for a mirror like the one you have. Can you tell me where you got it?
Hi Jenna! Wow that is steep! We paid maybe $500 for ours and installed it ourselves. I will look up your project! And as for the mirror, I got it at Big Lots believe it or not!
Hi Nicki,
The wood piece for your mantel is absolutely perfection. I drool every time I see it! I love that sweet little love banner. It is the perfect addition for your mantel to create a darling Valentines display! Love all of it!

Love your rustic mantel! We don’t actually have a mantel right now but this is exactly what I want to do!
And lovely decor! Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh thank you so much! You are so sweet! Thanks for hosting!
Ah, the dollar section at Target is such a treasure trove! I love how you decorated your mantel, just enough glitz to offset the rustic! Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday!
