Spring Fashion Color Crush- Fiesta Red

Hey friends!  TGIF, am I right?  Before we get started this post today, I just wanted to mention that you might want to check out the post I wrote titled My 20 Favorite Spring Fashion Trends for your latest is Spring fashion!  I recently read an article in InStyle about the top 10 colors for Spring fashion, and I thought it would be fun to do a little play on that.  So today’s post is about how you can incorporate one of these colors into your wardrobe- Fiesta Red!  Red is my favorite color, so I am definitely not lacking it in my own wardrobe.

If you would like to incorporate some red into your wardrobe, you might like this post today!  Tow great ways to wear red is to have a pair of red pants or even red shorts.  And if that is too much for you, maybe a red scarf is your jam!  As you can see, I am wearing both red pants and a red scarf in this first outfit.  I bought these red skinny jeans about three years ago at Zara during a visit to NYC, and I’m still wearing them and loving them.  As for the scarf, I still remember the day I walked into the Gap and this scarf was displayed on a mannequin, and I had to have it.  It was certainly calling my name!  I love that it is a lightweight scarf, perfect for Spring.

I was in New York City a few years ago, and saw someone on the street wearing virtually this same red maxi skirt.  I knew at that very moment that I needed a red chiffon maxi skirt in my life, and I scored this one for super cheap at an outlet store.  And to this day, I’m still wearing it and loving it!  I decided to go a little funky with this outfit and wear by black glittered Chuck Taylors.  I felt comfortable all day long in this look.

This red rain jacket I purchased from Tommy Hilfiger Outlet a couple of summers ago was a great choice for me.  I wear it all of the time, and my son’s high school track and cross country team colors are red, black, and white, so I love having this jacket to wear to meets.  It turned back to cold weather in my neck of the woods last week, so I tried to mix a little winter and a little spring in this outfit. This is a tank dress, and I wore it with a thrifted plaid flannel shirt tied at the waist and my tall black boots. On that day it was so cold in my school that I actually wore this jacket at work for a while. Unfortunately it was raining and I couldn’t get outside to photograph this outfit that day.

That’s a wrap for my color crush on Fiesta red for Spring!  What do you think of this color?  It will always remain my favorite color of them all!  Everybody should have a little pop of red in their lives!
