Hey all! Is it starting to cool down in your neck of the woods yet? We have been having some warmer days still, and also some cool days. slowly but surely, it is starting to be sweater weather! And I have two sweaters that are both new in my Fall wardrobe, to share with you today. Isn’t this red cape amazing?! You won’t believe where I bought this- Goodwill! I cam across it on a random rack at the back of the store while browsing around one day, and my eyes just about popped out of my head!
Red just happens to be my favorite color. so I love the color of this cape! It was a great price too, only $2.99! I can’t believe someone actually sent this to Goodwill in the first place, it is so on trend right now! There are no identifying tags inside, and I am fairly certain that it is handmade. I can just picture a woman just like my grandma crocheting this cape. Just look at the details! I don’t know a lick about crocheting, but I would call this a basket weave pattern- anyone?
This red cape and me were meant to be together, I’m telling you! I love the little arm holes, I love the gold buttons, and I love the way it fits! LC and I became member at the church we have been attending, and this is what I wore that day. I wore it with a simple black dress, black tights, and black boots. I just felt like the cape should be the star of the show. It is so eye catching in and of itself, don’t you think? It doesn’t need anything special, because it is special all alone! By the way, I did wash this on delicate cycle and hung it up to dry, and it washed up beautifully! This dress was designed and made by a friend of mine, and she sells her designs at her Etsy shop, Little Black Designs. You can purchase this exact dress there!
This cardigan is also one of my new purchases for Fall. I found it at Marshall’s, and I love the pop of pink. I am sure I can find various ways to style it for Fall and winter. I styled it with this skirt and booties for work. But it will look just as good with jeans.
