Please check out my post- 8 things you need in your wardrobe for summer!
Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles. Today I have a special giveaway starting, so don’t forget to comment for your chance to win!
This is an outfit I wore for a day of running errands. I cut off the bottoms of these white jeans to make them frayed, and I put the hole in the knee myself, although I wish I would made the hole a little higher- live and learn! I do love my new tassel bracelets though! You can find them at the link below- 2 pictures down, and they are on sale for $19.99. They are so fun, and they go with virtually everything!

We are preparing for a vacation next week, and I was in the market for another new swimsuit to take with me, so when I was approached by Pink Basis and offered a free bathing suit to review, I jumped at the opportunity! I don’t exactly love to post bathing suit pictures of myself, not gonna lie. But I really do like this bathing suit, so I am being brave today.
I chose this blue striped bandeau top high waist swim suit, and it is super cute! I love the bottoms, and I think they will look cute mixed and matched with other swim suit tops as well. They have a kind of nautical vibe with the stripes, which I like. They fit me really well, and I was very comfortable wearing them for a day at the pool with Mr. 7 Year old over this past weekend. I am a huge fan of the high waisted two piece bathing suit. As for the bandeau top, I am not sure it is for me. I am at that certain age where I need some support in a bathing suit top, probably more than this one offers. But it wasn’t horrible. I could definitely wear it during a time when I am going to be basically lying in the sun and relaxing, but if I were going to be fairly active while wearing my bathing suit, I would not wear this top. However, if you are a small breasted woman who does need that extra support, this top will look great on you! My 19 year old daughter happens to be one of those girls, and she loves this bathing suit top! I will probably end up loaning it to her at some point, because she loves to sneak into my wardrobe and borrow things! I took these pictures in the bathing suit behind my house. Things were just too busy when I wore this suit to the pool for me to be doing a photo session!
And Pink Basis has been kind enough to offer one of my readers (US residents only) a $50 gift card! All you have to do to be eligible to win is visit the website, choose your favorite product, and tell me what your favorite item is in the comments below! The giveaway will be open for two weeks from today, and at that point, a winner will be chosen at random. So don’t forget to comment below for your chance to win!
It’s been raining here for most of the summer. And it is really starting to get to me. I will be happy to go on vacation next week for sure (praying for good weather)! I wore this outfit to dinner with my sister and some other family the other evening. I really liked the outfit, but it was pouring the rain, and I could not get out for pictures. I cut off these white denim shorts myself from a pair of old white denim bermuda shorts.
