Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, age appropriate, and modest, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles. I bought this tweed skirt at a thrift store. I layered it with a denim shirt and red cardigan, and this was probably my favorite look of the week.
brown boots- J Crew similar
Everythign I am wearing in this outfit is either a hand me down from my daughter or old. I have owned these trouser pants from Banana Republic that I feel never go out of style. As a matter of fact the one’s they currently have on their website look pretty much the same.
Sweater- American Eagle
Striped scarf- Aeopastle
This was casual Friday. These are also trouser jeans from Old Navy that I have owned for years, but they are more distressed looking.
Sweatshirt- H&M
Trouser jeans- Old Navy
striped turtleneck- Gap
Sperry’s (old) I love these
I bought these mustard tights at H&M in the fall, and this is the first time I have worked them into an outfit! Again, not much is new here, just the tights and the belt and scarf. In case you haven’t noticed, I like to shop my own closet and come up with new ways to wear things that I already own. I purchase some new things each season, but I keep a lot of my clothes for years! these JCrew boots I bought years ago (and also pictured above) are a treasured item in my closet, and I think I like them more all distressed and broken in than I did when they were new!
Grey shit dress- The Limited
Argyle sweater- The Limited
Scarf- Ann Taylor Factory
This pin inspired the outfit below. It is really not the same, but you can probably see how I was inspired by it.
