Have you checked out my 16 Spring Fashion Must Haves yet? If not, have a look, you might fall in love!!
Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles.
I was finally able to get out a few of my Spring/summer clothes over this past weekend. And I also went shopping and bought some clothes for Spring, which I am going to share with you today! This outfit was what I wore on casual Friday Thursday last week. I was off for a mini Spring break on Thursday and Monday. The plaid button down is a new item I purchased for Spring a few weeks ago. These white jeans are boot cut, but I pegged them and rolled them up.
This is what I wore on Easter Sunday, to church. I bought this striped maxi skirt a year or so ago at either TJ Maxx or Marshall’s, so I can’t give you a link to it.
Here is a quick picture of our whole family on Easter Sunday.
I was inspired to put this together by this Pin, minus the hat and high heels. I don’t do high heels too much anymore at work. I have to stand way too much for that.

I went Spring shopping on Good Friday, and I think I did pretty good! I used my 16 Spring fashion must haves to create my shopping list, and I really tried to stick to the list. I also had a shopping budget of $500. This is the second shopping season where I have really went shopping with a specific list of things I was looking for. I used to go shopping and buy “outfits”. Now, I try to buy basic types of things that can be mixed and matched with things that I already own. Here are a few pictures of what I bought, and I am sure you will be seeing these things pop up in upcoming style posts. The stores I shopped at for these items were TJ Maxx, Gap, Forever 21, American Eagle, Target, Hollister, and the Shoe Department. There is a denim vest peeking out from under the scarf, and under the blue plaid shirt is a white button down. I also purchased a couple of dresses a few weeks ago from Old Navy that are not pictured here.
Pom Pom scarf- TJ Maxx// Denim vest// Lace tunic- TJ Maxx//
Blue gingham button down// Red and white striped tank// white button down// black striped tank- Target
Ruffle socks- TJ Maxx// belt
And these are the shoes I have purchased so far. I wanted a pair of black Birkenstocks, but when I was in Shoe Department, I found these for $29.99 and I was sold. They look almost exactly like Birks for a fraction of the price. My daughter and my niece both bought a pair too!
Peep Toes booties- Amarose Boutique// Cream wedges- TJ Maxx// Black sandals- The Shoe Department//Leopard Sneakers- Gabriel Brothers
And one last thing, this is not for Spring, but I scored this Cynthia Rowley tweed sweatshirt at a thrift store for $4! I love the little zippers on each side and it is a perfect fit. So definitely saving this for next Fall.
