Sweet Parrish Place Style {Vol. 25}

Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post!   Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice.  As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles.

I bought this dress around Christmas time, but being only in the 50’s, I thought it was also perfect for Spring.  And I loved combining it with my brown peep toe booties.  A couple of years ago, I would have never had the nerve or desire to wear these type of shoes with a dress, but now I like it.  What are your thought on booties and a dress or skirt?

I bought these floral jeans last Spring, but I am still loving them this Spring too!  Last week it was a little chilly, so I had to resort back to a little warmer clothes.  And so far this week has been chilly too.  I love Spring more than any other season, but the only downside is that I am way too anxious for warm weather every day.  A friend gave me this navy linen blazer, and I purchased the button down shirt from Twice- an online consignment shop.

Even though I want it to warm up, I was glad to get one more chance to wear my favorite chunky sweater before summer.  And I am still loving this striped bag that I bought last summer.  It just might be my favorite bag ever, from Sole Society.  It has three different compartments, and inside each compartments are zipper pockets and other pockets.  And I totally stole this striped bag and charm idea from one of my favorite bloggers, Cassie at Hi Sugarplum (love her!).  I saw her with a different black striped bag and charm, and it went with everything she wore, so after loving it all summer, I bought something similar to get the same look.  She has moved on to an adorable fringed bag this year that I am also in love with, but I didn’t buy this until summer was almost over, so I am going to ride out and enjoy this bag for awhile.

The necklace I am wearing is actually a belt that I never wear as a belt anymore, so I started wearing it as a necklace.

This was a typical day at work, and of course, much cooler outside than I wanted it to be.
