Sweet Parrish Place Style {Vol. 30}

Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles.

This week is kind of a double feature, because I was not able to write a style post last week. I had to work late two evenings, and it was just a crazy week. But things are going to be winding down very soon, because guess what? The 16th is my last day of work- time for summer break!! So for the next 6 weeks or so, you will be seeing a lot more casual summer outfits and a whole lot less work outfits. For this post, not much of what I am wearing is new, so there aren’t a lot of links to the items. After all, as I have said, I wear my clothes for several seasons, and it is not always about buying new things, it is about using what you have in your wardrobe to mix and match and make the most of what you already own!

Nothing I have on is this outfit is new. The graphic tee is from Loft a few years ago, and the skirt is a TJ Maxx find from a few years ago too. I love this skirt, because it can also be worn as a strapless dress and a high waisted skirt. But here I am wearing it as a maxi skirt.

This was a casual Friday outfit a couple of weeks ago. I am not sure where this shirt is from, but I confiscated it from Miss 19 Year Old in a bag of clothing she was getting rid of. I like the lace detail on the back.

Another work outfit here. I have styled this skirt a few different ways since I bought it a couple of years ago. I love the skirt, but for some reason I have a hard time putting together an outfit with it. Go figure!

These white jeans are one of my favorite buys this spring. At this point in the week, it had been a long one, and I just wanted comfort. And I achieved it, so that was a plus! When you are having a long hard week, a little comfort could go a long way, know what I mean?

This cardigan is lace on the back, and it is a perfect cardigan for Spring and summer. I bought it probably four years ago at Gap.

This was another work outfit that I felt very comfy in all day. I bought this lilac high low tee in Atlanta at Nordstrom rack a few years ago, and I still love it! The denim vest is a new addition this Spring, and the polka dot pants were a new addition this past Fall.

This dress is an oldie but goodie. I bought it years ago at Gap, and I still wear it a few times every summer. This time I paired it with a new plaid blouse I bought for Spring. I just tied it at the bottom and tucked the knot up underneath. The bracelet I am wearing with this outfit is an old silver spoon. I know a woman who makes these into jewelry- she is a school nurse in the county where I work, and if any of you locals would like her contact information, I can get it for you.
