Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles. Yesterday marked my last day of work until the beginning of August, so for the next 6 weeks or so, my outfits are not going to be work related. As a matter of fact, this weeks post is already pretty casual because school has been out since June 9th, and I have been going in to work just to get everything closed up for the year.

I love the shorts I am wearing in this first outfit. I have been looking for some reasonably priced, not too long and not too short (I don’t need my ass hanging out, I am a mom) shorts, and I happened across these at Walmart of all places! I also bought another pair that are white with black dots. Seriously, these were only $12.94 and they are really great quality, and they are the perfect length that I like. I am going to buy a couple more pairs if they still have them next time I’m there. I paired them with a pink shirt from Gap that I have had for years, and a pop of neon pink with this new tassel necklace.

I love these nude sandals from Old Navy. I find myself throwing them on constantly, because they match everything!

I bought these plaid shorts at Goodwill last summer because red is my favorite color, and I love plaid. Plus, like I said above, I don’t like too short shorts. I just want to feel comfortable and stylish without showing too much. I bought the shirt at Zara last summer, and I love the floral detail on the shoulders, and the back is black lace. What do you think of mixing plaids like I did here?

I wore this outfit to a work meeting. I have owned these white bermuda shorts for many years. I don’t love the length of them for casual wear, but they are great for work. This shirt is from Free People but I scored it at Marshall’s a couple of summers ago. I love the fit, and the little fringe detail all around the bottom. I found these cute turquoise and silver sandals at Gabriel Brothers for $5.99. I figured they were no longer available, but I found them on Overstock for $26.99, and they come in more colors! They are very comfortable!

I wish I had better pictures of this next outfit. I wore it to Mr. 7 Year Old’s birthday party last weekend, and didn’t have the time to photograph the outfit before the party, and then after the party it was storming. I bought the lacy shirt recently at TJ Maxx, and I love it! The denim shorts are new for summer, and I like that I can roll them up or leave them down.

I wore this to work one day last week. We had some meetings for teachers, and the air conditioning is cranking, so I didn’t feel like shivering all day. I like skinny jeans, but I also love flared jeans, so I am hanging on to a few pairs, an this is one of them.
