Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post!   Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice.  As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles.  This first outfit is just something I wore to run around and do some errands last week.

This is what I wore to church on Sunday.  Can you believe it was cool enough to wear this sweater?  It was in the upper 50’s.  Ever since school has been out for us, the weather has been rainy and not hot.  It is starting to get really depressing.  And things are not looking up for this 4th of July weekend.  Oh, and if you notice that my legs look markedly better in these pictures than the others, read this post to find out why!  I love this little black dress so much, and a friend of mine made it!  You can find more of her lovely creations at her Etsy Shop, Little Black Designs.

I wore this dress to a work meeting yesterday.  I was a little worse for the wear at this point, I had just driven two hours home and had a long day, but here it is!  I bought this dress probably 5 years ago at Gap, and I have worn it a lot.

I did a little shopping yesterday at the Charleston Town Center Mall, and I thought it would be fun to show you some of the things I tried on.  Most of these pictures were taken in the dressing room at Loft.  All of their clearance is an extra 60% off right now, so I was shopping the clearance racks.   I loved these yellow shorts, but they were a size too big and didn’t have them in my size.  It’s a shame too because they were on sale for $25.  I loved the denim shirt so  much it came home with me.

I also bought both of these.  The shirt was a size too big, so I actually bought the size smaller, which was a medium.  I tried on a large, because I need to lose 5 pounds.  and when I need to lose 5 pounds, I don’t like a tight fitting shirt, but this one was very relaxed.

These jeans are the modern high waist skinny ankle jeans in lily wash.  I bought these too.  I like the frayed edge at the bottom, the color, and the fit, they are high waisted, and if you haven’t tried high waisted jeans yet, do it!  They are so comfortable, I never want to wear anything else!  And I didn’t have jeans in this wash, so I like them!

I fell in love with this dress from Altar’d State.  Love the whole store, actually!  This one came home with me too.  We are getting ready to go on a beach vacation, so this will be perfect.
