Sweet Parrish Place Style {Vol. 36}

Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles to shop their own closets. You don’t always have to buy something new!

The first outfit I am sharing today is what I wore on my first day back to school. Cue the sad songs, yes, my summer break is over, and I am stilled totally bummed about it. School hasn’t started yet here, but it starts on the 13th, so it is casual right now since I am one of the only people in the building!Both my shorts and my skirt are old, the only things new that I am wearing here are my sandals and the white belt.

I wore this skirt outfit to a birthday party on Friday evening. I love this cute skirt from J Crew, I bought it a couple of years ago. I feel like it is too short to wear to work, but I will wear it other places. The polka dot tank is from a consignment store in Philadelphia.

Have you seen the #Iwillwearwhatilike Instagram challenge that Catherine from the blog Not Dressed as Lamb has going on in August? If not, check it out! It all started with an article she read titles “24 Things You Should Stop Wearing After 30”. Well one of the things on the list was graphic Tshirts. So I broke out one of my faves for the challenge on Saturday. I didn’t have time to take any better picture than this one, sorry. This shirt is from an Eagles concert I went to (my favorite band). I don’t think you are ever too old to rock an graphic T shirt! What do you think? And I also love my polka dot shorts, you may have seen me wear them before. I wish I could wear them every day! And good news, if you like my striped bag, it is back in stock!

This white dress is a favorite of mine, also purchased in a consignment shop in Philadelphia. I love to go to consignment stores when we visit bigger cities! I wore this to meet two of my girlfriends for lunch last week. There is a link under the above picture to the bag and the tassel charm on my bag.
