Sweet Parrish Place Style {Vol. 51}

Hey friends!  I’m back today with my 51st addition to Sweet Parrish Place Style!  I hope your week is off to a great start.  If you haven’t seen the post I wrote last week about How to Wear the Fall Trends Like a Boss, I hope you will take the time to check it out!  Since summer has ended and Fall has begun, I wanted to share with you some of the things I have been wearing over the past several weeks before it is full on Autumn.  We have had a fabulous September here in North Central WV, and it has been in the 80’s and 90’s every day.  when it is that warm out it is hard to get in the spirit of dressing Fall-like, but it is finally cooling down this week, so it’s time to change my wardrobe over to Fall I think.  Here’s a little of what I have been wearing lately!If you are new here, I love to wear vintage an thrifted clothing, and I also try to shop my wardrobe and mix and match things I have collected over time, so not everything I am wearing is brand new. This black dress is one of my favorites, and was given to me by a high school friend who is a clothing designer.  It’s called the Little Black MiMi Dress.  The fit is flattering to most any body type, and it is very comfortable.  You can check out all of here creations on her Etsy site if you are interested.  And these peep toe booties are something new I purchased for Fall.  Honestly, the minute I saw them I was in love!

I’m loving this poncho and wine colored jeans.  I wore it this particular day with a white tee underneath and some wedges, but I will love it even more layered with long sleeves and booties as it gets cooler outside.  These jeans are sooooo comfortable and I even took a size smaller than usual in them, and that is never a bad thing!  both the poncho and jeans are from Glamour Farms.  You may have caught the post I wrote in collaboration with the lovely people at Glamour Farms, and I have another one coming this Saturday, along with a discount code to share, so stay tuned for that!  This cute poncho is not available online so I have linked to a similar one.

I bought this grey skirt in the spring, but I am looking forward to carrying it through every season because I think it will work.  This was an easy end of summer outfit that could easily be styled with booties, and the color block cardigan is one that I bought years ago at Gap and still love.

Recently, a friend of mine brought me two big bags of vintage clothing that used to belong to her mother-in-law.  My daughter ad I couldn’t wait to open it.  We each chose a few items to keep.  I actually would have chosen more, but a lot of it was too small for us.  This denim dress is one of the items I chose to keep that did fit me.  It had giant shoulder pads in it, which I promptly removed before washing it.

I bought this white dress over the summer to wear during our trip to LA, and I actually wore it to dinner with my husband on our anniversary, styled a little differently and white different jewelry.  I love the watch I am wearing with the dress.  You can’t see it in the first picture below, but you can see it in the second picture.  This watch is called the Limoncello Convertible Watch from Chloe and Isabel, and I received it as a gift for having an online party for a friend of mine who sells Chloe and Isabel.  It also comes with a navy blue wrist band.  Love all of their jewelry!

I wore this outfit to church one Sunday.  I paired this vintage polka dot dress with a striped sweater that had a pop of yellow.  I have had this sweater for a few years, but I linked to a different striped sweater I like below.  And then the same pop of yellow in the necklace.  The dress is a sheer fabric with a slight pleat on the skirt, and my daughter bought it to wear in a high school play.  After the play, I decided to add it to my closet.  And the booties are the perfect way to transition this dress to Fall.

I earned the feather cuff bracelet you see below practically for free with credit from the Chloe and Isabel online party I hosted recently.  You will be seeing me wear this a lot this Fall!
