Trashtastic Tuesday- Craft Paper Easter Eggs

Hey all! Welcome to Trashtastic Tuesday! This is a little series around here where I show you something that I thrifted, sometimes I make it over, sometimes I don’t. Or it may be something that I have owned and I am tired of, or no longer like, so I make it over. But nevertheless, it is usually something that I paid very little money for.

I finally got to spend some time this past weekend decorating around my house for Spring! So of course today’s project is something Spring related, Easter Eggs! I had way too many plastic Easter eggs, and I wanted to dress them up a bit, so I used some craft paper that I already had on hand and covered the eggs with it using Mod Podge.

I simply cut the craft paper into strips about 1/2 inch wide and painted the mod podge onto the back of each strip, then stuck it onto the egg, one by one. After I had all the strips on, I painted a light coat of Mod Podge all over the paper covered egg.

I like the bandaged looking effect the thick paper made on the eggs.

I placed them into my large DIY Lantern, which is on my Spring mantle. But you’ll have to wait for another post to see the rest of the mantle.
