Trashtastic Tuesday- A Tissue Box

Welcome to another trashtastic Tuesday!  Tuesday’s are beginning to be my favorite day just because of this series!  I am having so much fun with it.  This one is so quick and simple, yet so adorable.  It is a Goodwill tissue box for Miss 16 Year old’s bathroom!  If you would like to see her entire bathroom, and my son’s bathroom click here.

This little bamboo shelf provides a little extra storage in her small bathroom.  It is in serious need of an overhaul.  I plan to do something fun with it, someday.  But check out the bright pink tissue box sitting on top!

I bought this little metal tissue box on a recent trip to my local Goodwill, and I knew it would be cute with a bright punch of color!  The print above the towel rack is something I DIY’ed using a free printable, some craft paper, and a frame I already had.  You can see the original post about that here.  Excuse the bath mat hanging over the shower curtain, I forgot to remove it.

This tissue box was silver metal and it had some rust on it.  I used a magic eraser to clean it really well, and some bright pink spray paint.  Four coats, lightly, to be exact.  I found little miniature cans of spray paint at JoAnn’s over the weekend, so cute, and I even had plenty left over.

Here is a before picture of the tissue box, plus the other things I picked up at Goodwill that day.  I still haven’t figured out what I am going to do with that horse.  I am thinking another fun pop of color, what do you think?
Her new tissue box matches her new rug perfectly!  (That cabinet over the toilet is in for some serious love soon as well, so is the vanity and flooring).

I scored this Lacrosse rug on clearance at Marshall’s a while back for I think $4.99.  It is so cute!

I have been really busy with family things lately, so this was a quick and easy update to my daughter’s bathroom.  I hope you enjoyed this weeks edition of Trashtastic Tuesday!  If you would like to see all of my trashtastic projects, you can find them all here.  Come back next week!  Maybe I will have made a decision about the horse by then!  And then again, maybe not, my daughter’s high school play is this weekend, so I am going to be slammed!
