Valentine’s Day Vignette’s

February 14, 2013 By Nicki 2 Comments

It is hard for me to believe that it is already halfway through February!  Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!  And if you don’t have a special sweetie to share it with, I know you are probably gagging about now.  Just know that I have been there as well.  Nothing sucks worse than a day for sweethearts when you don’t have one, so if that is you today, go out and do something special for yourself!  Go to the spa, get your nails or hair done, or go out with the girls.  Take a little extra time today to take care of you!  That is what I used to do on Valentine’s Day when I was divorced for several years.  I would always get a massage.
I have a couple of small things I have done around here for Valentine’s Day that I never got around to showing you, so they are included here, and if you would like to see the few other things I did for this special day you can click here and here.   But the main attraction is the collection I made of super cute Valentines Day vignettes.  Some people go all out, don’t they?  I am not one of those people, however I always admire some cutie pie decorations, and these will not disappoint!  I have linked back to the original source below each picture.

This little hanging rack is to the right as soon as you walk in my front door.  I purchased this hanging bucket through Southern Living years ago, and I still love it.  It is perfect to change out for the seasons, and I always love the way it turns out.  This year I filled it with some pink peonies that I bought at the Dollar Tree.  Then I simply tied some ribbons around the handle that I bought in the dollar section at Target.  I just left them hanging rather than tied a bow.  This hanging rack is from Pier One and I honestly cannot remember where I bought those keys, but aren’t they cute?  I need something to hang above this, but haven’t found anything yet.

This is my burlap wreath all done up for Valentine’s Day.  It is a simple pink bow made from ribbon I had lying around, and a couple of gold leaves left over from Christmas.  I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either.  Just keeping it real here.  To be honest, I didn’t have the energy to try and change it around, so I just left it that way. Click here to see how I made this burlap wreath.  It is one of my favorite crafts ever because I can use it for every season!

I love this garland.  So simple, yet so sweet.

I love this mantel because everything is neutral with a pop of red on the wreath.  I love me those pops of red!

I love everything about this one.  Look closely at the hand print picture.  Those are actual hand prints, oh so sweet!  And the little heart art is adorable.  I also love the branches.  Perfection!
Look at the hand print in the middle.

This on is vintage looking and oh so adorable.  So much to like here, especially the red frame with the chevron fabric.

I always like the things Jennifer at Dimples and Tangle puts together, and this garland made from playing cards does not disappoint.  I want her to come to my house.  And get snowed in for a few days, ha!

This one is so cute too.  I need to go cut some branches and put them in something, I always like that look.

I could not resist all of the pink on this mantle, especially the tulips, they are my favorite.

So many things I like about this one as well, the sign, the red frame, the little hearts and the garland, love them all!

Which of these is your favorite?  I honestly don’t k now if I can pick one.  I will be back tomorrow to show you what I gave my sweetie, Mr. LC, for Valentine’s Day.  I wanted to show it in this post, but it will be posted before I get a chance to give it to him, and I don’t want to ruin it.  I will give you a hint.  I ordered it on Etsy.  It doesn’t matter if I say that because I am quite certain he does not have a clue what Etsy is.  He already gave me my gift.  any guesses as to what it is?  Ok, ok, I will tell you.  A heater for my bathroom!  WHAT??  That is what I asked for!  We used to have one built in with our vent in our master bath, and this house doesn’t have one.  I was so used to it that I have been freezing my buns off at shower time in this house.  He got me one that is safe to be used in bathrooms (he is a Volunteer Fire Fighter after all!).  I have been using it all week, and I am so happy about it.  Sometimes, it is the small things, ya know?I am linking up Here:
