What I Wore Wednesday- June 4, 2014

Welcome to my Weekly WIWW post! Every week, for several months now, I have been taking pictures of my outfits and joining the WIWW link party with The Pleated Poppy. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. So here is what I was wearing this past week!

This was a casual Friday outfit. I bought this Gingham shirt at Old Navy a while back, but Gap has a very similar pink gingham shirt that I love right now too! The sandals are from Urban Outfitters. They no longer carry these exact sandals, but these Urban Outfitter sandals are almost exactly the same.

We had a big farewell party for Our Swedish daughter on Memorial Day, and this is what I wore.

Here is a closer look at the tank. I love this shirt. It is a very subtle blush, and the white flowers are so pretty. I bought the nude sandals at Old Navy.

I didn’t get a good full picture of this outfit. It was blurry, so this is all you get. I wore this to a casual dinner with Our Swedish guests last week. The zebra shoes were a Goodwill find.

This was a day at work. I borrowed this skirt from Miss 18 Year Old. You can see how I styled this skirt in a very similar way last spring.

This is what I wore to the airport the day we said goodbye to Our Swedish Daughter. Such a sad day. I will be posting more on that later. I love this black cardigan from Loft. And they have some really cute cardigans for summer too! If you are like me, I have one with me at all times. The polka dotted peep toed flats are from Urban Outfitters, last summer. They are no longer available, but I always love their selection of shoes.

LC and I ran a 5K last weekend. I need some new workout clothes! I hate to spend my money on stuff like that, but when I need them and don’t have them, I always wish I would have. I did buy this dry weave tank at Target recently, and it is currently on clearance for $11.04. I like it because it is not too form fitting.

This was a girl’s evening at a friends house last weekend. I swear, I have had these jeans for at least 10 years! The peach T-shirt is from Victoria’s Secret.

I am still working, but the student’s last day was last week, so things are slowing down, and it is much more casual.

And another day at work. The plaid shorts were a Goodwill find last summer. You can see another way I styled them here.

This is the back of the tank. I am not very good at getting pictures of my behind!

I am in such love with these Salt Water Sandals I bought on Amazon! I bought them on sale, but right now they are $36.95, still not bad at all! I originally saw these on a blog I read called Goat and Lulu and fell in love with them, because I actually owned these exact sandals as a child! I posted a picture of them on Google + after I got them, and apparently, other’s did not agree. I got a whole slew of people totally having a ball making fun of these sandals! It was literally a whole conversation of wisecracks and very mean girls just ripping me and my sandals a new one! Needless to say those people are now blocked. My motto is be nice or get the hell out leave! I guess at 43 years old (gasp) I just don’t have time to deal with people who try to bring me down or make me feel badly about myself. And I just don’t tolerate it. So if you don’t like these sandals, please, no need to tell me. Trust me, I have heard it. But if you do like them as much as I do, I would love to hear it in the comments. You know, just so I know I am not the losing it completely!
