What I Wore Wednesday- September 10, 2014

September 10, 2014 By Nicki Leave a Comment

Hey all!  Welcome to my Weekly WIWW post!  Every week, for several months now, I have been taking pictures of my outfits and joining the WIWW link party with The Pleated Poppy.  These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion.  I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways.

I love this combination of black and green that I wore to work.

Black Top- Forever 21
Green jeans- similar at JCPenney
Sandal- Similar
Scarf- Old
I think this was my favorite outfit of all this week.  Unfortunately I don’t think it photographed as well as it actually looked in person.  I got lots of compliments and a lot of people thought it had a retro vibe.  I agreed!  I actually wanted to wear a pair of black sequined Converse, but didn’t feel that was appropriate for work.

Skirt- Izod (thrifted)
Graphic T Shirt- Loft (old)
Black cardigan- similar at Old Navy (on sale for $19)
Sandals- Loft (old)

I liked this casual outfit for work.  It was very comfy.  I love the look and feel of linen pants.

Brown linen pants- Old
Sleeveless blouse- Gap (old)
Leopard Flats- similar- Zappos
This was casual Friday at work.  A lot of people wear Mountaineer colors if there is a game the next day.  This is my Mountaineer shirt.  I am not real sure where it came from, someone was taking up orders for them at work.

Jeans- old
Nike’s- Gabriel Brothers, similar at JCPenney
This is a terrible picture taken at night, but I wanted to show you this cute T Shirt I wore to the first Mountaineer home game on Saturday evening.  I actually ordered this shirt from a website called Hi Custom, where you can design your own high quality custom T Shirt.  I received an email offering me $30 in free credit to this website in exchange for reviewing it on  my blog.  This is the shirt I designed, and I love it!  The T Shirt is very soft and feels good quality.  This T Shirt cost only $20.  So with the rest of my money, I ordered a mug with a WVU symbol on it for Miss 18 Year Old to take to college.  I am not showing the mug today because there was a mistake on it, and it was not what I ordered.  I have not contacted the company about the mistake because I haven’t had time to worry about it, and it really didn’t cost me anything anyway.  You can click the link below this picture to design and order your very own T Shirt.

Coach Sneakers- Old
This is a close up of the front of the T Shirt.  Several people we tailgated with liked the shirt and wanted to know where they could get one, so I consider my design a success!

This is the back of the shirt.

I have owned this dark chambray maxi dress for a couple of years, and I can’t remember where I bought it.  I wore it with a white tank to work to make it more appropriate.  If I were not at work I would have left the tank off.

Of course, I wore a white cardigan with the dress to stay warm in my frigid office.

White cardigan- Target (on clearance for $13.98)

Thanks for stopping by for my WIWW post today!  If you would like to stalk my other WIWW posts, click here!  I also have a Pinterest Board where I post all of my daily outfits.  I also frequently post on Instagram! You guys, I turn one year older tomorrow!  The older I get, the less I feel like actually saying my age.  But I am going to try to be cheery about it, I guess.  I am mean, hey!  I am grateful to be alive and to be healthy.  Age is just a number, right?   Note to all young people: enjoy it while it lasts.  Youth does go away, I can promise you that!  Have a happy hump day!
