What I Wore Wednesday- September 24, 2014

Hey all! Welcome to my Weekly What I Wore Wednesday post! Every week, for several months now, I have been taking pictures of my outfits and joining the WIWW link party with The Pleated Poppy. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. It seems like over the last week or so, fall has crept right in. The temperatures have dropped and it just feels like fall. So I spent most of the weekend getting out my fall clothes and decor. Shall we take a look at what I have been wearing? Join me!

Lately, I have been trying to link back for you to the clothing items I am wearing, or to similar items. I do want to mention that I am short on time as I am writing this, so I can’t do that right now, but I will come back and update this post this afternoon or evening and put those links in. This first outfit is what I wore the evening of Mr. 14 Year Old’s first Homecoming dance. I am planning to put a post together to show you what he and his date were wearing too! I just need time to edit the pictures. But look, I am wearing my new booties! As I said in last week’s WIWW post, I wan to wear them with every outfit! I cropped this picture so that you could see a close up of this really cute necklace that I bought recently. I actually bought this from another blogger who was selling some things on her blog. So cute!

This was a day at work. This is my attempt to transition into fall when the mornings are cool, but in the afternoon when I leave work it is very warm. A black maxi skirt is a perfect transitional item in my opinion. This sweater was left behind by Our Swedish Daughter. She actually left several things behind. I kept what I wanted, and sent the rest to a consignment shop.

Last week was Mr. 14 Year Old’s high school homecoming parade, so I got in the spirit with his school colors, and a soccer T shirt that I bought last year when I spend many evenings watching Our Swedish Daughter play.

This was another typical work day. You can see another way I styled these purple pants here. I see other people pair sneakers with outfits, so I thought I would give it a try. Not sure it worked here, but the black converse are sparkly,, which you can’t really see in the pictures.

This was casual Friday, so I wore a Mountaineer T shirt, gooo Mountaineers! I love my leopard flats because they really are a neutral and go with most everything. I saw a woman last week who had on a pair that I just loved! I wish I would have asked her where she bought them.

These pants are a new item that I bought for fall. I love the polka dots! Plus, they are stretchy and comfortable, and the perfect length. You can see another way I wore this striped sweater here.

This white maxi skirt is actually a dress, but I hate the way it fits me, so I wear it as a maxi skirt. I thought I would wear it one more time this season before I pack it away for the winter.
