What I Wore Wednesday–And Spring Shopping

Welcome to my Weekly WIWW post! Every week, for several months now, I have been taking pictures of my outfits and joining the WIWW link party with The Pleated Poppy. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways.

So let’s get on with this shall we? This is what I have been wearing. I busted out the white jeans last week! the weather was looking good, and I was dying to start wearing them again. I had not worn this tweed skirt all winter, so I figured I would wear it at least once before it was spring. I bought this skirt years ago at Wal-Mart of all places.

This was a casual Friday outfit. I love this chevron scarf that I bought in the fall.

We spent the day is Washington DC on Saturday and this is what I wore to see the sights. It was such a gorgeous day, and I didn’t need my jacket until dark. Later on in this post, I will show you some spring shopping I did while there!

This outfit was so comfy for work, but I still felt professional wearing it. I got the inspiration for this outfit here.

So, do you wanna see what I bought while shopping in Georgetown? I got some fabulous deals in Zara! Have you ever been to that store? We don’t have it around here, and I have only been in it one other time in NYC. All of this was bought off the clearance rack.

I purchased these flowered jeans for $9.99.

They zip at the ankles and are very skinny. I can’t wait to wear them for spring!

This navy scarf was difficult to photograph. It has a subtle sparkle to it and it is very lightweight.

I only paid $6.99 for it!

This dress was also only $9.99, and I love the fun print! I think I might wear it to my daughter’s high school graduation, sniff sniff. I have a few different cardigans that will look cute with it. And I even think the navy scarf I bought will look cute with it!

This sheer shirt was another steal, at $9.99. It is loose and flowy.

And the back is black lace. So adorable!

Have you ever shopped in Zara? Our Swedish daughter shops at the one in Stockholm all of the time. She and I have very similar tastes, even more than me and my own daughter! If you have never shopped at Zara before, and you come across one, you really should go inside! Such cute stuff!
