What I’m Loving

If you are new to Sweet Parrish Place, welcome!  I am so happy that you are here!  What I’m Loving is a little series I have going on the blog where I share random things that I am currently loving!  You know, just like friends do!  I love to chat with friends and talk about things we like and things we don’t like, so I love doing the same with you guys, because I consider you friends!  So, let me tell you some things I am loving right now!  First up, I was in the store Altar’d State a few weeks ago, and I saw this wall art that says Be Still.  It was a pretty good size- 2 feet by 2 feet, and I just love the simplicity and the message!  The price is pretty steep, at $75, but I think this would be so simple to DIY, and for way less!  I have linked to the piece in case you would like to order, even though I would never pay that price for something like this.  I still love it!

These next 5 pictures are all from the same website, and you guys, I am in love with this store!  It is called Ragtrader Vintage, and just the name of the store is attractive to me, because I love all things vintage!  I discovered this store about a year ago when I was in Pittsburgh at Steel City Con with LC.  They usually have a booth set up there selling their retro accessories for both men and women.  I bought this monacle necklace that day, and I still love it so much!  I absolutely fell in love with all of their unique and one of a kind vintage pieces.  They are hand made, and I was so happy when I discovered that you can buy their things online!  I am not getting paid in any way shape or form to write about them, and they have given me nothing for free.  But I want to share them with all of my friends because I just know most of you will love their things as much as I do.  Below are a few items I picked from their website, just to give you an idea of the types of gorgeousness they sell.

They sell the most unique necklaces made from old pocket watches.  A month or so ago, my husband went back there, and I requested that he buy me something if they happened to be there, and they were!  You can see the necklace he bought me in the third picture down.  I don’t see my exact necklace on the website, but that is the beauty of Ragtrader Vintage, their pieces are unique.

If you read the blog regularly, you know that I love to go thrifting and junking.  Here are some of my recent finds, and I particularly love the bird needle point you see below.  I plan to take it out of this frame and put it in an embroidery hoop and hang it on the gallery wall in my upstairs hallway.  The other items you see pictured here have already founds various spots around our home.

I went shopping for Spring/Summer recently, but the one thing I didn’t find that I really wanted was an off the shoulder top.  We are going to LA in less than a month, and I really want an off the shoulder top to take with me.  I hear the evenings are cool there so I think this will be perfect to wear for an evening out.  So I did an extensive search online, and this is the top I ordered.  I love the subtle blush color, the loose fit, and the billowy sleeves.  And the price is really good at $39.99, plus I got an extra 30% off!  They are currently having a Memorial Day sale and everything is 30% off, so shop till you drop people!  I love the chic styles this website carries!

I love to try new products, especially body lotions.  I like to buy a different kind each time because I like variety.  And my most recent purchase, and the body lotion I am currently using, is the Sugar Crush by Soap & Glory, sold at Target.  Soap & Glory’s mouthwatering, irresistible, moisturizing body lotion with AHA FRUIT COMPLEX, MOISTHAVE™ six skin conditioning oils plus KIWI WATERJUICE™.
