Hey All! It has been over a week that I have been completely away from my blog, and it seems like forever! Did any of you miss me? I sure did miss you, and this little blog of mine! I can’t remember the last time I actually took a week away, and did not even so much as check up on the blog. But it was a much needed break for me and my family, and, even know I was away from the blog, part of my time away was all about blogging, because for the first time ever, I attended the Haven Blog Conference! For those of you who are not bloggers, Haven is a DIY bloggers conference, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I am going to start working on a post to tell you all about it, and I learned so much about how to help my blog flourish, so stay tuned for that!
My mind is swimming with ideas for the blog since Haven (serious brain overload people), from the rock star swag bag to the rock star bloggers, I was in awe of the entire experience. I learned so much, and I met and saw so many bloggers whose work I have admired for years, and some whose blogs I didn’t even know existed, and can’t wait to go and read now that I met them!
I will be sharing more about Haven and our trip with you soon, and hopefully resuming my regular blogging schedule and bringing you some amazing content that you will enjoy. And if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I have shared some pictures of what we have been up to over the past week.
My whole family went with me down to Atlanta for Haven, and they enjoyed spending a couple of days there. After that, we traveled down to Charleston, SC, and spent 4 days there. You guys, if you have never been to Charleston, I strongly encourage you to add it to your bucket list. We fell in love with that beautiful city, so much so that we have been fantasizing about moving there one day.
We spent two days at two different beaches- Sullivan’s Island and Folly Beach. The water was warm, the sun was shining, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading a good book and watching the kids explore and play.
