Red Sundress For Summer | Style Files

This red sundress never lets me down, it’s one of those dresses that I would wear once a week if I thought no one would notice.

Hey friends!  Have you ever had a sundress that never lets you down?  Do you have a go to summer dress that you love?  Well, this one is mine!  This dress is my favorite summer sun dress, and the one I constantly want to grab and throw on.  No matter what, I always feel goo wearing it.  It is the perfect fit, the perfect linen fabric, the perfect color for me, and it is just so forgiving.  I wonder if any of you can guess how long I have owned this sundress?

I bought it at Gap so long ago!  It has to have been at least ten years ago, I kid you not.  I wasn’t lying when I tell you that not everything I wear is brand new.  Although I did a major purge on my wardrobe over the past 6 months, this red linen sun dress made the cut.  I have been on a mission to rid my closet of everything I don’t love, and my purging journey has not ended yet.

And let me just say that I usually love several of the dresses Gap sells each season.  Our local Gap closed down, and it broke my heart just a little.  Right now at Gap, everything is 40% off, plus free shipping, so I might just have to get my shop on today!

I wish I could give you a link to my favorite dress so you could go out and buy it.  Because I just know you would love it as much as I do.  And the bag is a vintage find.  I actually bought it a couple of years ago, but I really never carried it much until this summer.  And I have been enjoying using it as a cross body bag.

The hat is still being sold, so you will find it in the shopping widget below if you like it.  I bought it last summer, and it has been a great little hat to wear on a sunny day at the pool or the beach.  I also love a good hat for those days when you just don’t have the time or energy to fix your hair.  On this day I threw it in a braid and threw on this hat and was done with it.

I honestly do think this dress is my favorite dress of all time.  And I just wanted to share it with you guys today.  I have no plans on parting with it anytime soon either.  Red is my favorite color, and I think everyone can use a great red dress in their closet, especially for summer.  So, I have scoured the internet looking for some good red dress options, and am sharing my choices below.

I sure do hope you find one that you can’t live without.  One that you can love just as much as I love mine!
