Hey friends! Today is finally, after 6 long weeks, the big reveal of my downstairs bathroom makeover! Are you as psyched as I am about it? Doubtful! But I am super excited to share this new space with you. So much so that I have decided to get fancy and give it a special name. I am deeming this reveal my boho eclectic bathroom reveal! What do you think? Well, don’t say anything yet, wait until you see the whole finished room, and then you can decide if my title is appropriate.
Today is reveal day for guest participants in the One Room Challenge. And I absolutely cannot wait to dive in and start looking at all of the reveals from almost 200 different bloggers who have been participating in this challenge. So here goes you guys! Pardon the picture overload and welcome to my boho eclectic bathroom reveal!
Boho Eclectic Bathroom Reveal
Since we are on week 6 of this challenge, you might want to catch up with my progress on this downstairs bathroom makeover from the beginning.
You can click the links provided to take you back to each of the first five weeks: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, and Week 5.
If you don’t know what the ORC is, The One Room Challenge™, currently in its eleventh season, is a widely anticipated biannual event every April and October. Each round, twenty design bloggers take the challenge and transform a space. It is hosted by Calling It Home and House Beautiful. Wednesdays is the day for the design bloggers to go live with their progress, and Thursdays is the day for all the guest participants to go live. You guys will be amazed at these reveals, they are just beyond words good!
I have a bit of an overload of pictures to share today, so I am gonna try and keep quiet through most of this post. Especially because if you decided to go back and start with the beginning in week 1, you will be able to see and read about the entire progression. And this room has come so darn far that it blows my mind! Let me quickly show you where this room started. Looking at these two pictures below, this room looks nothing like my boho eclectic bathroom does today, and I am so thankful for that!

And after we moved in- this used to be my daughters bathroom. But now it belongs to my 17 year old son, and it desperately needed a masculine vibe.
I have to say I’m mad over this space! It has a fresh, youthful, boho, eclectic feel with just the right amount of quirkiness for my taste buds. So I do hope that you enjoy looking at this reveal today. Mr. 17 Year Old is as happy as a teenage boy will admit to being with his new bathroom, ha! The only problem is that it is all shiny and new, and now I totally wish there was a way to keep the sweaty, dirty, teenage boy who runs like 10 miles a day from actually using it, because, well, teenage boy bathrooms are just gross you guys! So I’m going to do my best to make him help me keep it this clean (yeah right!)
There was about a half inch gap between the left side of the sink and the wall. It had perviously been filled with caulk, but it looked awful. So I decided to add a piece of wood trim right there, and then I caulked and painted it with a semigloss paint. It isn’t completely ideal, but it looks way better than loads of caulk looked. The glass tiles that go to the ceiling here are my favorite aspect in the room. I absolutely love the soft and subtle color of them! the art you see on the wall to the left of the sink is from a local artist, and I framed it myself.
I had this macrame wall hanging made by a friend of my daughters. She is a college student, and makes lots of really cool things to raise money to be able to do an internship. I ordered this and I asked her to match the colors of it to the colors in the rug in this room, and she did a superb job! I am so thrilled with how it turned out! She is @meganjanemakes on Instagram. If you like things of this sort (she makes other things too), check her out. She will ship anywhere in the US. this wall weave is the perfect finishing touch for my boho eclectic bathroom reveal, wouldn’t you agree?
I found the wicker fan and the little faux succulents pictured here at the Target Dollar spot, and it was like they were made to go in this bathroom. the colors of the tiny pots and the pink trim on the fan were the perfect tiny pop of pink that I was looking for. And isn’t the little M shaped book the sweetest thing? I found it at Alter’d State recently.
The silk plant you see here was provided to me by PermaLeaf®. I thought it was the perfect little touch for this space. The plant can be placed both indoors and outdoors, and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality and look of it.
I have to admit, I am so darn happy to call this room finished. You don’t even know. Right before I started this room, I participated in a 5 week challenge and did a mudroom makeover, which just so happens to be right outside of this bathroom. Both of these rooms are downstairs, so my downstairs is looking so much better!
But Mama needs a nap you guys. And a house cleaner, because you don’t even want to know how nasty and dirty the rest of this house feels to me right now. It has been sadly neglected. And I have a checkerboard deck just screaming at me to re-paint.
But I think I am going to give myself a break from a room makeover for a few minutes. At least long enough to catch my breath, start summer break, and go on a vacation. So I am dying to know your thoughts on my boho eclectic bathroom makeover reveal. What do you think?

I adore the revamp! What a huge difference from the before. The light fixture you created is so very good- can’t wait to make one! Congratulations, my friend, on your fabulous space!
Joy, it is so sweet of you to stop by, thanks girlfriend! The light was my favorite project in the space!

Such a great transformation, I especially love the light fixture and the rug! The before and after pictures show how much work you did, and it paid off. The tile was brilliant!
Thank you so much Jennifer! The rug is from Target, but I couldn’t find it online.
what a dramatic difference! i especially love your shelving and macrame! great job!
Thanks so much Yuni!
The bathroom looks great! I love the lighting so much!
Thanks so much! I am so glad I had the courage to try the macrame!
The glass tiles are such a cute colour – hopefully your son likes the new space 🙂
He does like it, thank you so much! Especially when he went a year and a half with a pink bathroom, I think it made him appreciate the change even more!
Oh Nikki it looks wonderful! All of your hard work certainly paid off. I feel your pain with a teenage boy being messy!! Fingers crossed he keeps it nice and clean
Thanks so much Rosa! When you say your fingers crossed I almost spit out my tea! Haha, he will never keep it clean, I am pretty certain. Although a mother can dream, can’t she? hehe
Everything is beautiful! Love the rug, the backsplash tile, and all the styling. I laughed at your comment about a teenage boy being messy. I have an 8 year old boy and his bathroom is next on our list of remodeling projects. Now I might want to rethink that, lol.
I also have a 9 year old son who uses a different bathroom. When they are little, they still smell good. Just wait until he becomes a teenager! Haha! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Such a cute little space. Love the wall hanging and all the accessories, and that blue tile is gorgeous!
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
I bet your son is SO much happier with this bathroom! It came SO far over these past few weeks. I, like you, have to take a little bit to get my house in order. Whenever I work on one space, it seems everywhere else gets ignored, and thus, in desperate need of cleaning. Enjoy the beginning of summer!

Thanks so much Erin! I am definitely one who ignores the rest of the house in the midst of a project. I kind of have no choice because I have a full time job, and only have the evenings and weekends.
Wow, what a transformation! Love your boho touches, especially the wall hanging.
Thanks so much Dannyelle! Glad you stopped by!
I love this! The two light fixtures are definitely my favorite part! This is such a pretty and unique bathroom now!
Thanks so much Amanda! We are enjoying the new space for sure!
It turned out perfect! I love the light and the open shelving!

Thanks so much Melissa! Glad you stopped by!
Believe me know what teenage boys are like – stinky. Had two at once – 16 months apart, good thing I was young then. When they got old enuf it was their job to clean their bathroom altho they would try to stall long enuf so either their older sister or I would clean it. Didn’t happen too many times when they lost privileges. Later when they were out on their own before marriage they did pretty good job of keeping their house clean. My oldest son thanked me recently for tuff love, making them learn to do things,ah.
Your son’s bathroom is incredible, what a sterling job you did, so many wonderful features you added. Love that weaving,is so well done, gorgeous.
You are so sweet JaneEllen! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I have two sons as well. So I feel ya!
Your bathroom looks wonderful! I hope your teen has been keeping it clean. 😉 The wall hanging is so pretty! I hear ya on needing a break from room renovating. After ORC the rest of our house needed a serious cleaning and I want to take some time to do some heavy decluttering.
I’m totally feeling you! I have been doing just that ever since I finished up the bathroom!
What a fun bathroom, I love it and those wall lights are gorgeous!! I feel like re-doing mine now 😉

The fun part about this room, is it is still neutral, and on a whim you will be able to totally change the look with just a few accessories.
That is one thing I love about it too! Thanks so much!
